Good day everyone!
Today we’re going to take a look at shaker cards. When I first started these they were pretty intimidating. I have gotten to the point where I can make these really cool cards quickly, and more importantly, not mess them up completely.
I am not a huge Valentine’s Day fan but I love making valentines crafts, I made it a full face shaker card. I used supplies from The Greetery, Cottage Cutz and Close to My Heart.
Let me Tell ya……. I was heartbroken when Close To My Heart went out of business. All the paper that I used for this card was from their company.
For the Ex’s & Oh’s I used a Cottage Cutz die and cut it out in red card stock. I felt like it added a cute little touch. Let me tell you guys, they have some absolutely adorable die cuts on their site. I use them all the time. Here’s the link for their store I used:https://www.scrappingcottage.com/cottagecutzvalentinephraseandmore.aspx
For the chocolates, I used some cute candy dies and cut them out in dark brown for the paper that goes around the candy, light cream and strawberry paper for the chocolate part and then white and chocolate paper for the icing.
I don’t know if you’ve ever perused The Greetery website but their selection is fabulous! For this card, I used the Curio Confections for the chocolates. You can find the link here: https://thegreetery.com/collections/all-products/products/curio-confections-die?_pos=1&_sid=a1f7bbf73&_ss=r
Guys, I’m just starting out doing this blog and I would love to get your input on what you would like to see,or what I could add, to make my crafting clearer for you!
I look forward to your comments and have a crafty day!
Good morning everyone! Today I want to share my JoAnn’s haul for Valentine’s Day. Our Joann’s didn’t have much Valentine’s Day products left but what I got I really think is adorable.
First off, we have these adorable, apoxy heart embellishments that are going to look absolutely adorable on my grandkids Valentine’s Day gifts. next posts I’ll share the gifts that I’m sending off to them. I think I’m using Scrap Diva dies for those and if you’ve never seen her stuff, make sure to hit my blog up again. Her stuff is adorable.
The other two products I’m excited about are the Valentines words and the mini envelopes. Both of these packs have a lot of dimension to them and, they do not have white edges, which I really like.
Next, I got the Parklane Valentines paper pad. It’s 6” x 8” and has pages that have foil accents on them. Trust me guys this paper pad is a must have for your Valentine’s Day crafting this year.
Ok…. I totally scored on the hearts. If you have a Dollar Tree tree in your area, they have a huge valentine section right now. The hearts are glittery and I am a total sucker for glitter.
What have you all been working on for Valentine’s Day?Please share what you’ve been doing in the comments I would love to hear or see your project!
Hi everyone! I would like to introduce myself and my new blog. My name is Wendy, I’m a Montana girl and my passion is Dogs Rock Paper Crafts. I began as a scrapbooker 20 years ago, took a couple years off around 2010, and then started card making. I changed to card making because I had finished all the scrapbooks for my son and wanted something a little less stressful and pressured. Card making was the ticket!
So…now on to the name of my blog. We always had a dog growing up and I have been a dog mom for 30 years. We, my wonderful husband and I, have been privileged to adopt eight dogs over the years. Giving them a loving home where they are absolutely spoiled rotten. In my world dogs definitely rock!

Now, on to what we all love! Our card making hobby! I don’t know about you, but I love techniques. Foiling, stenciling, die cutting, stamping, embossing, texture paste…you name it, I’m excited about trying it. My main go to technique though is die cutting big paper into small paper and putting it together to make scenes like the one below…
Good afternoon everybody! Boy…is it windy, cloudy and snowy here in Montana today. In other words, the perfect day to sit in my craft room ...
